Mesenteric Adenitis

What is that title you ask? That is what Kaylyn was diagnosed with on Thursday, Sept. 23rd at the Emergency Room at Mission Hospital. Let me tell you the story. It all started Tuesday after dance when she was complaining of being hot and thirsty. She ran a fever and threw up all night. The fever stuck around a couple days and then Thursday afternoon she kept complaining about pains in her lower right abdomen. The eventually got so bad she couldn't even walk. The pediatrician wanted to see her right away. They said her stomach felt hard and swollen down there and they sent me to the ER. 6pm at night to 3 am in the morning: A urinalysis, ultrasound, Blood work, and CAT Scan later she is diagnosed with Mesenteric Adenitis. What a nightmare the whole thing was. Thank goodness she is such a trooper and enjoyed just cuddling with mommy all night. Sick kids are the worst!!!!!!! I'm just glad she's okay.
